Owners of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships will soon benefit from major enhancements in their gaming experience. Microsoft will launch a series of digital enhancements to expand the platform's capabilities while optimizing system speed and efficiency.
External storage support for Xbox Series X and S consoles will soon expand through a major update. Gamers now have access to external hard drives over the previous 16TB maximum following a recent Xbox beta update that lets them split drives such as 24TB into separate 16TB partitions. The new system lets gamers store additional games and media content which leads to better library management.
During a recent Xbox Developer Direct event, Microsoft presented new games which will become available through Game Pass Ultimate for subscribers. Among these are Ninja Gaiden 4, a remastered Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, and anticipated releases such as South of Midnight, Clair Obscure: Expedition 33, and Doom: The Dark Ages. As soon as these games come out, they will be available to subscribers which extends their range of available titles.
Microsoft also announced network quality indicators for cloud gaming services. These features track network performance metrics such as latency and packet loss to provide immediate information which players can use to adjust their network settings for optimal gaming experience.
Xbox now supports external hard drives above 16TB while setting partition limitations to 16TB for better storage handling.
