Minecraft
The latest update, Trails & Tales, has a super cool new feature. Guess what? It's "the sniffer"! Yep, you heard it right.
This adorable creature won the 2022 Minecraft Live mob vote. How much did it win by? A whopping 55%! Pretty impressive, huh? It left behind tough competitors like the tuff golem and the rascal.
What's unique about sniffers? Well, they're friendly plant-eaters, but here's the catch - they're extinct in the game. Bummer, I know. But hey, don't worry. The brilliant devs found a way to bring them back!
Enter: Archaeology feature. What do you need? A brush, lots of patience, and an adventurous spirit. Go explore warm ocean ruins, brush away suspicious sand, and voila! You might just find a sniffer egg!
But wait, hatching a sniffer isn't instant. You gotta place the egg on a damp, soft surface. Like a moss block. Then, the waiting game begins. But trust me, it's worth it!
Once it hatches, the little sniffer starts wandering in the Overworld. Aimless? Maybe. But it can sniff out ancient seeds. Cool, right? These seeds grow into unique plants like torchflowers or pitcher plants.
Speaking of torchflowers, they're super handy! They can breed more sniffers and heal injured ones. So, with a dash of perseverance, a pinch of dedication, and a sprinkle of luck, you can spread sniffers all over the Overworld.
Imagine that! Bringing back an extinct species, adding a whole new level of excitement to Minecraft. Now, isn't that something to look forward to?
ARK: Survival Evolved
Good news, ARK fans! The latest Community Crunch has some exciting updates. Guess who won the community creature vote? It's the Gigantoraptor! This prehistoric beast, known for fiercely guarding its young, will soon be seen in Ragnarok on ARK: Survival Evolved. And guess what? You still have time to vote for the next addition to Aberration.
The Gigantoraptor is something else. It's an omnivore from the Late Cretaceous period, and it's territorial. But don't let its size fool you, it's more of a babysitter than a brawler. It cares for the young ones and even adopts orphans from rival species. Pretty cool, huh?
Taming an adult Gigantoraptor seems tough, but there's another way. Sneak into their nests, gain the trust of the young ones, and bingo! Once grown, a tamed Gigantoraptor will care for your tribe's young creatures. It'll raise them, teach them to fight, and guide them in battle.
In other news, the Community Creature Vote for Aberration is wrapping up. Hurry up and cast your votes before July 24th! The winner will be announced on July 28th. Finalists include Shunosaurus, Motobite, Chimerarachne Yingi, and more.
Project Zomboid
This week's Thursdoid got delayed, but no worries, the Community of the Dead (CotD) has got us covered. In this CotD, they're showing off player screenshots. Expect to see incredible PZ bases, sights in Knox, and more.
The screenshots are quite impressive. They range from a cozy base with shelves and a grand piano to a jaw-dropping handcrafted cabin filled with furniture and storage. You'll see different moods captured too. Foggy campsites, snowy bases, even a fiery scene with zombies!
So, while we wait for the Thursdoid update, let's enjoy the CotD. I encourage you all to share your own screenshots via Twitter, Discord, Steam, or Reddit. Let's celebrate the creativity and experiences of our Project Zomboid community together!
