V Rising’s latest free update, “Invaders of Oakveil,” is now live, introducing a new poisoned forest biome, Oakveil Woodlands, in the northwest of Vardoran. The Cursed Forest, Oakveil Woodlands, is ruled by none other than Megara, the Serpent Queen; her poisonous sway has warped the land. Waiting for players in the Oakveil Woodlands are her followers, known as Venom Blades.
The newest 1.1 patch adds numerous new features, including a new PvP duel arena, three new weapons, the Wolverine-style claws, twinblade and throwing daggers and seven new spells. The 1.1 patch further improves upon castle customisation, granting more options for personalisation of hideouts and castle setup. The update remasters the blood type system, as well as advances combat mechanics drastically, giving players more control over their character’s progression.
Oakville’s environment is hazardous. A biome hazard known as the “Curse of the Forest” accumulates over time, impairing vision and map visibility. But the curse’s effects can be temporarily undone by freeing captured wisps, or more permanently by getting the Shroud of the Forest, created following the defeat of the Old Wanderer, a new V Blood boss.
The update introduces a new boss, Cyril the Cursed Smith, which allows access to rare recipe drops which are necessary for the creation of late-game, powerful weapons. These features are intended to promote an improved gaming experience, offering novel chances for players, regardless of their level of experience.
On Steam and PlayStation 5, players can access “Invaders of Oakveil,” which continues V Rising’s efforts to bring extensive free content updates.
