Indie crime sim Schedule 1 has been dominating Steam charts and is now gearing up for major map expansions. Solo developer Tyler teases new areas that promise to make the game’s crazy charm even deeper.
The next zones that were detailed on the official roadmap are new zones located southwest and northeast of Hyland Point. These include a swampy region and a prestigious residential district with new terrain and places for empire building. It adds a gritty, low-tech feel to the swamp area and a new type of environment and clientele in the upscale neighbourhood.
Tyler, the one-man force behind TVGS, has been open about the process through its development. These expansions are ambitious but take time to implement, especially since Tyler is a solo dev. However, Tyler has been committed to delivering quality content, and his responsiveness to player feedback since launch has been on point. Bugs have been tackled, and new features have been implemented in regular updates, so it’s clear that he's not resting on their laurels in terms of making the game as good as it can be.
The upcoming expansions are a part of a bigger system, which also involves new types of drugs, weather systems, and interactions with rival cartels. Timelines are flexible, but the community is excited to see how that evolves, especially with the abovementioned additions.
As part of that ongoing early access roadmap, there’s no set release date yet.
The planned expansions include a swampy zone and a fancy residential district.
Tyler, the solo developer behind TVGS, is leading the project.
He has player feedback and is focused on quality improvements!
