Kinetic Games has disclosed its plans through a 2025 roadmap that will deliver significant changes to boost the ghost-hunting gameplay in Phasmophobia. The Chronicle update marks the first major content update that modifies the evidence management system through a Media tab added to the in-game journal. The Media tab inside the in-game journal now substitutes the Photos page to work as a repository for pictures, videos, and audio files.
With the addition of the Sound Recorder in Phasmo, players can capture paranormal sounds that playback from within the journal system. The game will provide increased monetary bonus rewards to players who get original evidence yet diminished rewards for repeated evidence collection.
In 2025, the Player Character Overhaul will expand customization options so players can change their appearance through different outfits and modifications. The update intends to achieve deeper immersion for players through its enhancements.
The Phasmophobia developers will introduce a new compact-sized map that mirrors the dimensions of the house locations. The Bleasdale and Grafton Farmhouse maps will receive updates that include redesigned layouts and fresh visual components alongside new gameplay areas to maintain gameplay freshness.
Since its release, Phasmophobia has reached 22 million sales, establishing its popular position in the horror gaming genre, while future content updates guarantee ongoing fan dedication.
The Chronicle, released in 2025, adds the Media tab while providing a Sound Recorder function and modernizing evidence management.
Two pieces of important news include a forthcoming new small map and redesigned versions of Bleasdale and Grafton Farmhouse.
Through the Player Character Overhaul, more customization options will become available for avatars, including options for different outfits.
The game will introduce distinctive tasks alongside special prizes for its Easter and Halloween events in 2025.
