The Director's Take was recently held within the Blizzard community and the lead Chief disclosed about the company's implementation of multiple changes in the next patch release (Overwatch 2, Season 15).

Blizzard had just had their Director's Take of 2025, and Director Aaron Keller talked about the new changes coming in with Season 15. He went further to disclose that the competitive mode will undergo severe enhancement.
Keller stated that the Jade weapons will be developed and replaced with an incredible jaw-dropping alternative. Players will be boosted with improved mobility in the upcoming Season 15. Chances are the next release may include a new hero.
