Days Gone has gotten a major graphics upgrade on both PS5 and PC, with improved visuals and new support. The update includes improved lighting, darker nights, and haptic feedback support for DualSense controllers on Steam.
In Days Gone, the players will accompany Deacon St. John as he traverses a world ravaged by Freakers in the apocalyptic era. The new update improves this experience by optimizing the light/shadow, foliage draw distance, and a new atmospheric simulation of the sky. These changes make the game's environments more immersive and visually striking than the previous legacy version.
On PS5, there are two modes to choose from: Quality mode for higher resolution or Performance mode, which will offer higher framerates at the cost of lower resolution. The update also supports Tempest 3D Audio and VRR for an even better gameplay experience. For PC players, the update includes improved visuals, haptic feedback support for DualSense controllers, and significantly darker nighttime environments, adding to the game's intensity.
The update is free for the existing players on both platforms who previously owned the game. However, additional DLC content is available for purchase. This will ensure that both new and returning players can have fun with the improved Days Gone.
