For the fans of the legendary franchise, there’s been an announcement of a new Terminator game that promises a cool experience. Taking place in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by Skynet, this project seeks to test your will to survive with a multitude of survival mechanics, dangerous combat, and an intense storyline.
Developed by Nacon Studio Milan, Terminator: Survivors is an open-world survival game launching in early access on PC (Steam) in 2025 with later releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Set between Judgment Day and the rise of John Connor's resistance, the game puts players in a Terminator-infested world. Players have to scavenge resources, build a suitable base, and fend off robots and human threats. Survival is offered in both single-player and cooperative, where up to four friends can play together.
Terminator 2: No Fate, created by Bitmap Bureau, is meanwhile a 2D side-scrolling action game inspired by classic arcade titles from the 90s. The pixelated visual and gameplay style is similar to Final Fight and Super Contra, and it will be released on 5th September 2025. It puts the power in the hands of players as they play as Sarah Connor, John Connor, or the T‐800 and relive these moments from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, as well as uncover new elements of the story. Also, this game will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
