Monster Hunter Wilds will introduce its first major update, releases on April 3, 2025, for North American players and European and Asian regions on April 4. The Title of this update is Update 1, which adds new content that extends the endgame for veteran hunters. The highly anticipated update brings back Mizutsune as one of its main attractions, as this leviathan gained fame through its elegant yet lethal bubble-based combat abilities. A mystery monster will enter the game following the addition of Mizutsune and prove more challenging than the Tempered monsters.
Once the main story is completed, the game will reveal a fresh social gathering hub. The shared social space allows players to kick back and carry out activities such as meal preparation, showing off gear and hunt preparation. The multiplayer environment provides gamers with relaxation opportunities in between their missions while keeping their co-op experience intact.
The update has both new event-themed quests and limited-time missions that offer various prizes, including materials and special items. The update also introduces both return and new forms of the Arena and challenge quests, which provide focused hunts for solo or co-op play. The introduction of new cosmetic DLC through both free and paid options will allow hunters to acquire armour sets, gestures and layered weapons, which enhance their character appearance during combat.
