A Minecraft player has shared a simple design for a ghast launcher, making it easier to ascend and interact with Happy Ghasts. It makes vertical movement a lot easier in terms of building and exploration tasks.
The Happy Ghast, added in the Minecraft 2025 update, is a flying mob that is a friendly mob which players can ride. Players will need to find a Dried Ghast in the Nether, rehydrate the Dried Ghast, and then feed the Ghastling snowballs until it is a Happy Ghast. A crafted harness, once matured, will permit up to four players to mount and fly the Happy Ghast.
The common launcher design is powered by basic redstone mechanics and shoots players and their Happy Ghasts into the air. This is very useful for getting to high places fast, for construction projects, to collect materials, or to land on the Happy Ghast. It’s simple enough to build it early in the game, but it also serves as an alternate way of building a house instead of using scaffolding or elytra wings.
This innovation shows how the community has been developing unique ways to enhance Minecraft gameplay mechanics in air navigation and player building from all spectrums of players.
Head off to the Nether and find a Dried Ghast, rehydrate it in the Overworld, and then feed it snowballs until it turns into a Happy Ghast.
It launches players and Happy Ghasts into the air, helping them get around the game while building and exploring vertically.
With a crafted harness, you can, in fact, mount four players and fly a Happy Ghast.
It does not use advanced redstone components, and it is usable for players who can build early on in the game.
