Helldivers 2 received a major performance improvement on the PlayStation 5 Pro version getting better graphics and stability. The Arrowhead Game Studios devs has not made any public announcement yet but analysis reveals noticeable improvements in resolution quality and system performance.
The PS5 Pro upgrade enhances Helldivers 2’s performance mode by raising resolution from 1080p on base PS5 to 1440p which represents a 78% density improvement. The video performance becomes both clearer and more stable thanks to this upgrade. However, the game still uses TAA instead of PSSR which is the next generation of PS5 upscaling technology and could have further improved image clarity.
The upgraded PlayStation 5 Pro offers native 4K resolution to users who select quality mode while the standard PS5 displays at 1728p. The gameplay becomes better detailed which provides smooth visual quality improvements. The expected 120Hz high frame rate feature continues to be missing while the system experiences occasional frame pacing problems which require further optimization.
Official mentions of these enhancements by Arrowhead Studio remain absent although Helldivers 2 community members exchange speculations about them. The game improvements seem apparent to numerous PS5 pro players though formal updates have not confirmed their precise details. Additional updates from Arrowhead promise to reveal whether new features along with further optimization improvements will be added in upcoming releases.
