Hackers Using Fake Elden Ring Nightreign Playtest for Steam Scam

There are a lot of controversies going on in the Elden Ring community, as hackers are sending players a fake Playtest for the game's new patch.
Elden Ring is FromSoftware's most successful title and certainly the most popular. It has gathered so many fans over a short period that the devs have started planning a spin-off, also known as the Elden Ring Nightreign. The new steam scam is centered around this new patch. While the FromSoftware is working on the said Elden Ring Nightreign Playtest set to begin on Feb 14, 2025, scammers are already sending players invites, robbing them of their Steam accounts.
The new spin-off features a solo or multiplayer gameplay where players can fight off enemies in the lands. The playtest is sent in the form of a false Steam page, which appears official but is fake. Popular Publisher Bandai Namco is in charge of the registration process and has debunked claims of sending an official Steam page to anyone. Players are, however, expected to wait until the official playtest date for more development.
