The program allowed users to wander through a fan-made version of the GTA 6 setting before its official release, thus creating a mixture of hype and uncertainty among fans.
Take-Two Interactive reacted swiftly as the mod was started gaining popularity. The company submitted a legal request which forced 'Dark Space' to remove every download link available for the mod. Following the events, the YouTuber revealed he had received a copyright strike on his YouTube channel.
