The developers at FromSoftware confirmed that Elden Ring: Nightreign will be available on May 30th, 2025. Elden Ring: Nightreign stands alone as a multiplayer adventure offering new battles and cooperative gameplay to explore in this universe.
Three-player teams must fight across the Limveld version of Limgrave for three in-game days until they encounter their final challenging opponent. The playable area in Elden Ring becomes progressively smaller as it ages, thus activating combat encounters between players who must work together. The single-player feature exists but lacks AI allies, requiring players to work together.
Junya Ishizaki directed this game, which differs from Elden Ring by focusing on action play and strategic mechanics instead of open-world exploration. George R.R. Martin does not participate in this project despite his involvement with the original game. People can pre-order now with the base edition costing $40. The Collector's Edition contains a Sylvestre statue, a steel bookcase, a hardcover art book, and character cards.
Online testers have identified Nightreign as a networked game requiring intense team-building teamwork. According to player reviews, the game gives a sense of urgency, but technical connectivity issues and the lack of built-in voice communication might hinder team collaboration.
The game launches on May 30th, 2025.
PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The game features co-op functionality; however, its main focus depends on co-op, and the AI functionality is absent.
The game director, Junya Ishizaki, brought his Dark Souls and Bloodborne experience to this project.
