FromSoftware will introduce Elden Ring: Nightreign on May 30th, 2025, as a standalone co-op multiplayer experience that expands the Elden Ring universe. Nightreign adopts a new three-person coop mode which merges elements of battle royale and roguelike gameplay. The game takes place on a Limgrave-inspired map where players must explore during the day while fighting bosses at night in a shrinking map area.
Nightreign presents three distinct class abilities as well as two new traveling methods called Spectral Hawks and Nightsprings. Long-time Dark Souls fans will have nostalgia for encountering bosses such as Nameless King and Centipede Demon from the Dark Souls series in this game. The game is run under the supervision of Junya Ishizaki, who led previous Dark Souls and Bloodborne projects despite George R.R. Martin not participating in this project.
FromSoftware has planned a closed network test for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S that will start in February 2025 after the subscription begins on January 10th. By the conclusion of 2025, FromSoftware aims to deliver new downloadable content that will introduce playable characters along with bosses to enhance the Nightreign experience.
On May 30, 2025, The Elden Ring: Nightreign will be available.
The Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC can all play the game.
He isn't working on this project, sorry.
Additional DLC for the game will be released in Q4 2025.
