Elden Ring fan spends 2000 hours recreating the world map in Minecraft

For Elden Ring fans, someone has put over 2,000 hours into recreating the game's expansive map, The Lands Between in Minecraft. This creator, known online as Lerfing built the world from a height map, observed and mapped in the game. All of the main surface regions, Limgrave, Liurnia of the Lakes, Caelid, Altus Plateau, and Mountaintops of the Giants, are covered in the project. However, while the build is still on the go, the capital city Leyndell and the elusive Heligtree are present, and work is still being done on them.
Lerfing's work has been very well received on Reddit's r/EldenRing, with over 25k upvotes and many good words for the size and level of craft involved. Lerfing has the map available on his Patreon for download, so fans can experience the Minecraft version of The Lands Between.
Although the project is still not finished, it already provides a clear overview of the surface world in Elden Ring. There are yet-to-be-added underground areas, such as Siofra River and Lake of Rot, as well as new lands of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Lerfing stated that these map updates may not be the last, and he aimed to continue improving the map during the course of development.
The joint effort by the gaming community has been a truly dedicated and creative piece of work across the divide of the worlds of Elden Ring and Minecraft, making for an impressive fan-put-together tribute to the game that deserves more attention than it gets.
