With plenty of new content and worthwhile updates planned for 2025, Diablo 4 looks to be stacked from start to finish. The Season of Witchcraft Season 7 starts off the month bringing with it witch powers, occult-themed gems, Headhunt challenges, and a new Armory to help players store and stay active with different builds. Setting the tone for a diverse year that brings a lot of long-term additions.
April 29 brings us Season 8, entitled Belial’s Return, which puts demon lord Belial back in the limelight. We have new boss abilities, an Apparition Incursion world event, and some feline pets. Belial and several other important bosses will now find a place in the revamped Lair Boss system, along with other bosses from Vessel of Hatred.
Season 8 also marks the arrival of the Reliquary system, which replaces the Battle Pass with a more flexible, player-controlled reward path. It's also expected that one of two IP crossover events during this season will also arrive.
Sins of the Horadrim carry the momentum forward with nightmare dungeon progression updates, Horadric powers, a new pet, and support for consoles with a keyboard and mouse. Season 10, Infernal Chaos, wraps 2025 with chaos-themed powers, infernal horde improvements, and the second IP collaboration.
Until then, Blizzard has confirmed a second major expansion for 2026. Despite maintaining secrecy, early teases suggest that leaderboards and a revamped ranking system for more endgame competition will be introduced.
