Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.21 drops – fixes bugs, boosts FPS, and makes Johnny less of a ghost! Cyberpunk 2077 just got another polish with Patch 2.21, rolling out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While it’s not adding new content, this update is packed with much-needed fixes—especially for Photo Mode, vehicle customization, and those rare but weird Johnny Silverhand glitches.
After Patch 2.2 introduced major customization, Patch 2.21 came in to clean up the mess. Now, V’s rotation and position actually save in presets, and spawned characters won’t mysteriously disappear. Adam Smasher’s glowing chest cyberware is back, and Johnny’s alternate appearance bug is fixed. Oh, and Nibbles the cat? He can now be placed in mid-air or water—because why not?
If you felt like Johnny Silverhand wasn’t showing up enough when riding shotgun, this update fixes that. He’ll now appear more often—but not duplicated (RIP, double Johnny glitch). No more awkward moments of seeing him in two places at once.
On the PC side, DLSS 4 support is now available for RTX 50-series GPUs, letting players boost FPS by up to three times per frame. Even RTX 40-series users get benefits with improved Frame Generation and reduced memory usage. DLSS Ray Reconstruction also looks sharper with fewer artifacts and better lighting stability.
CrystalCoat color inconsistencies? Fixed. Missing explanations in the Autofixer menu? Patched. Randomizer settings in Character Creation also now stay put instead of resetting.
CD Projekt hasn’t confirmed if this is Cyberpunk 2077’s final update, as they shift focus to The Witcher 4, but for now, Night City just got a little smoother.
Photo Mode now saves V’s position and rotation, plus Johnny Silverhand appears more often without duplication glitches.
