In its latest updates, Monster Hunter Wilds prepares to introduce important gameplay changes that bring new weapons, improved quality-of-life changes, and new content. The upcoming 1.010 patch on April 4, 2025, includes two new huntable monsters, Mizutsune and Zoh Shia, along with the expansive Grand Hub that brings multiplayer features, such as mini-games, an arena quest counter, and leaderboards.
Weapon balancing stands as the focal point for major changes as the developers have dedicated considerable changes to the Insect Glaive plus Lance, Sword & Shield, and Switch Axe for improved combat movement and fluidity. The ammunition capacity for Ranged weapons, including Bowguns and Bows, now has infinite basic ammo and coatings, which streamlines resource management throughout hunts.
A major aspect of the update is resolving player complaints through better Gore Magala camera performance and lowering the response time of NPC dialogues. Through its wounding system, the game now gives hunters fresh combat options to exploit the monster's weak areas in order to launch damage-dealing Focus Strikes. Performance fixes by especially streamlining Steam VRAM consumption work to minimize technical glitches.
Changes to appearance and time-limited events at the upcoming Festival of Accord event beginning April 23 will provide players with new experiences.
The developers behind Monster Hunter: Wilds revamp Insect Glaive, Lance, Sword & Shield, and Switch Axe to enhance combat interaction throughout the game.
Players get unlimited basic ammunition, but they need to craft special types of ammunition.
Players can access Barrel Bowling together with Arena Quests while competing with others by using the leaderboard system.
The game now features Mizutsune and Zoh Shia monsters where Tempered Mizutsune becomes available at HR 41+
