The upcoming RPG Avowed from Obsidian Entertainment now includes a 60fps performance mode for Xbox Series X owners at its initial release. The developer originally aimed to deliver a 30fps experience but made a change to include a 60fps option instead. Game director Carrie Patel made it clear that Obsidian Entertainment will give players options for performance modes because of their focus on player choice.
The frame rate update received acknowledgement from Patel although she warned that some performance imperfections known as "jank" are likely at the launch date. However, the studio made sure to inform fans that these problems in the current update will be resolved in future adjustments to the game.
Avowed will launch through early access on February 18, 2025. Gamers who buy the Premium Edition at $90 will gain access to Avowed five days ahead of everyone else on February 13. The game will launch on Game Pass Ultimate right away yet players using Game Pass Ultimate can enhance it with additional bonuses by upgrading to the Premium Edition for a $22.50 fee.
The addition of 60fps mode in Avowed ensures both performance quality and ambitious RPG scale by delivering a fluid gameplay experience. Players especially wanting to experience Eora in high-performance environments during the next-gen period find this update as an encouraging development.
Upon release, the new game will integrate a performance mode that offers 60fps.
The game has minor performance issues known as “jank” that users should expect but these glitches will not disrupt the gaming experience.
Avowed has officially been scheduled for release on February 18th 2025.
Premium Edition customers can access the game early beginning February 13 for five days.
