Ubisoft developers are working on a new project for Rainbow Six Siege which will become its second game installment. Leaked information indicates that the sequel project named Rainbow Six Siege 2 or Siege X stands at four years of development before its expected announcement at the Six Invitational 2025 in Boston.
The game development team uses the Snowdrop engine from Ubisoft which also supported The Division and the recent Avatar game. Reports indicate that Rainbow Six Siege 2 or X will benefit from an anti-cheat system which Ubisoft exclusively created to improve gameplay quality. Sources suggest that most of the dev team has moved on to developing the new instalment while a smaller team continues to provide updates for Rainbow Six Siege.
