LambDynamicLights Mod Overview

LambDynamicLights is a feature-packed dynamic lighting mod for Fabric. It allows entities bearing items that emit light such as torches and lanterns to emit light while it further allows visibility in-game through dark areas, hence allowing for exploration of Minecraft land and space without necessarily creating sources of static light.

Key Features:

  • Dynamic Lighting: Torches, lanterns, and other lighting objects now shine their light upon being held by an entity.
  • Burning Entities Emit Light: Blazes, magma cubes, and other burning mobs will radiate light.
  • Smooth Dynamic Lighting: controls the smoothness of the dynamic lighting update.
  • Item Lighting Customisation: This mod allows adding lighting effects with resource pack customization and even works when modded items are invoked.
  • Entity-Based Lighting: Entities such as Allays, Blazes, Fireballs, Glow Squids, Spectral Arrows, etc. emit light naturally.
  • Water Compatibility: Some items, such as torches, won't glow while submerged in water. Realistic.
  • Developer-Friendly: It contains an API that is very easy for developers and resource pack creators to use in adding dynamic lighting to their own mods.
