What's new?
Palworld
The most important thing included in the new update to Palworld, v0.3.5, is a number of crucial fixes and improvements that should enhance gameplay time. Quite a few bugs have been squashed in the update, more specifically, those surrounding the base management, multiplayer functionality, and language translations. Here is a summary of key points brought by the update
Notification Frequency Adjustment
This reduced the frequency of the myriad notifications showing in the game when Pals were stuck in the base.
With the updated system, notifications will now only be visible when the player is within range of the base where the problem is taking place. This way, it will be less stressful for players to manage all their bases without having to worry about constant signals and alerts from them.
Moreover, thenotifications for natural objects, such as rocks and trees, will stop appearing as well, which will also help in decluttering the notification system.
Remote Work for Stuck Pals
In scenarios where a working Pal gets stuck, they will now be able to continue their tasks remotely from where they are standing, preventing disruptions in work efficiency.
Underwater Construction
Fixed a bug that was causing players not to be able to build pillars underwater. This should increase the possibilities of building constructively in aquatic environments.
Multiplayer Synchronization
Solved a bug in which oil rig turrets would desync in multiplayer, vastly improving the multiplayer stability and synchronisation of the gameplay.
Other minor text-related bugs have also been fixed to enhance the readability and accuracy of the text in the game.
It testifies to the developers' commitment towards fine-tuning the game and giving players a sleek, enjoyable gaming experience. While Palworld is continuously in development, these fixes and improvements are necessary to preserve both game quality and player satisfaction.
Rust
This most recent update for the game, dated August 1, 2024, brings forth an incredibly big pack of changes. Added are new features, improvements toward quality of life, and adjustments to improve gameplay dynamics. These include new trap innovations and environmental interactions that range from making the game more engaging to immersive. Below is the summary of the main updates
Tin Can Alarm
Added a new primitive trap of Tin-Can Alarm, made from tin cans that are tied together, producing a very loud noise once its wire is crossed, informing players in their surrounding area.
It can be deployed in any desired location, from a base to monuments, making it one of the most versatile traps available for strategic defence and access point coverage.
Replicated Bush Sounds
It changes how the bush rustling sounds work within its gameplay. Now, all players around a rustling bush will hear the noise it makes in much the same way as footsteps.
The noise volume is intense depending on the speed of the player, and passing through the bushes slowly covers the lesser noise—opposite to this if it is done with a run.
This is also going to affect the rustling sounds made in the hot air balloon tarp—adding a new stealth consideration to this one.
Underwater Items
Items dropped into the water now will sink more realistically, slow down, and react to water currents.
As they sink, they will bubble up and move around in a more realistic manner, hence easily spotted by players at the bottom of the ocean.
Zipline Improvements
Ziplines will now skip over as far as possible, rather than stopping at the first available destination, greatly increasing the distance one can travel using this method.
The zipline length has been increased from 150 to 185 meters.
Ziplines now terminate at higher points on the powerline structures, which reduces the need for climbing and makes the system much more user-friendly.
It also contains a fix to prevent players from being dismounted off trees while using ziplines, making it all the more smooth and safe.
