Just one day after launch, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has already passed more than 200 mods on NexusMods. Without official mod support, the game’s fan community is already turning the game into something more modern and fit for player’s needs.
Performance and stability are very important, and mods like “The Nearly Perfect Frame Rate FPS Optimizer” work to smooth out the gameplay by dynamically changing video settings so that one doesn’t have to pause or manually click through settings menus in order to get a consistent 60 fps stutter-free experience. In fact, the community was also able to revive tools like the Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE), which adds more advanced scripting engine modes to the game or fixes that wouldn’t have been possible without a scripting tool.
The game’s most dated systems are also being fixed by players. Mods like Dynamic Map and Map Marker Overhaul make it a lot easier to navigate every area of the game. The Clear markers and the option to specifically track your own location make up for what many fans felt was lost after playing Skyrim.
The community has already uploaded over 200 mods, and more are coming, so it’s obvious they are doing what Bethesda didn’t and making the remaster feel modern and flexible, making it a title worth revisiting.
No, Oblivion Remastered hasn’t been given official mod support by Bethesda.
Mods such as “The Nearly Perfect Frame Rate FPS Optimizer” and OBSE can be used to tinker with settings and improve performance.
Mods such as 'Dynamic Map' and 'Map Marker Overhaul' improve the map functionalities.
Absolutely. I believe different mods allow changing the difficulty or tweaking AI behaviour.
