Capcom announced through an official statement that the Resident Evil Re: Verse multiplayer will permanently shut down by June 29, 2025. According to Capcom, the game will cease availability from digital storefronts starting at 9 PM PT on March 3, 2025. The removal date for all DLC content including both character skins, RP Boosters and the Premium Pass comes on this date. The game remains playable for players who previously downloaded Re: Verse until the servers get shut down in June although players will lose access to it afterwards.
The Re: Verse team at Capcom expressed gratitude to its fanbase because the game surpassed initial player interaction predictions. The game began with strong success yet it failed to sustain adequate player numbers. The game achieved its highest player total when it was released at just over 2,100 Steam players but lost most of its active base since then.
Capcom stated that Re: Verse existed to commemorate the anniversary while the series transitioned to a new phase so it completed its designated purpose. The company thanked all Re: Verse players for their commitment and declared this segment as the last piece of Resident Evil heritage before its conclusion.
The game will become unavailable starting at 9 PM PT on March 3, 2025.
Downloaded owners will have access to play until June 29, 2025, because the game remains available to them.
The game will not include Re: Verse starting from its designated date onward.
The game exists as a 25th-anniversary tribute project since its initial creation objective is now accomplished.
