Microsoft Now Giving You More Options To Repair Your Existing Consoles

Good news, Xbox players—Microsoft is giving you more ways to repair your microsoft console, so you won’t have to panic the next time your system starts acting up. You can use Microsoft services either by bringing your Xbox to local stores or doing self-repairs.
On January 20 uBreakiFix by Asurion will launch its official Xbox Authorized Service Provider program to help customers across the US at their 700 stores. Just make sure to call ahead and confirm your local store is on board.
If you’d rather go the DIY route, Microsoft is also expanding its online store, allowing you to buy official replacement parts for Xbox consoles directly from their website and the Microsoft Repair Hub on iFixit. Previously, Microsoft only sold controller parts, so this is a huge step forward.
The repairable models include:
- Xbox Series S - 1TB
- Xbox Series X - 1TB Digital Edition
- Xbox Series X - 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition This initiative is also part of Microsoft’s push to become a zero-waste company by 2030. The company is phasing out single-use plastics in Xbox packaging and even tweaking the Series S to use 10% less power when handling video.
