In a surprise mix of events, Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 went live earlier than expected on PS5 by mistake, and both players and developers were caught off guard because they weren’t expecting it at all. In a brief that was made public, they mentioned that the update was released ahead of schedule, leaving fans very confused.
The early release of Patch 8 really threw players off—some were frustrated, while others were surprised. Some ran into unexpected bugs and performance issues. The essence of the patch was to bring very big gameplay improvements, balance tweaks, and bug fixes, but since it came out earlier than expected, Larian Studios might have to gear up and fix some surprise problems before the official launch.
