The RPG game Avowed has received Update 1.2.4 from Obsidian Entertainment as the studio works to improve the gameplay experience by fixing various issues.
Update 1.2.4 brings essential bug fixes and QoL improvements to the game. The Avowed update enables companions to deliver more reliable help, which boosts Avowed's combat functionality. The number of autosave slots accessible to players now extends from three to five, allowing them to control their game advancement better. The update fixes particular bugs that appear during quests. For example, unkillable characters will respawn when they suddenly die, which, in turn, blocks quest progression. In addition, loot piles will no longer occur in unintended locations when created when the player is far away, so previously afflicted saved games will have loot piles in the right place where they died for the owning character. In regards to the technical rollout of Avowed, the game no longer supports DirectX 11.
This latest update to Obsidian's Avowed shows that they're continuing to work on the game and improving it based on community feedback to make it more stable and playable.
This patch release focuses on correcting bugs and delivers practical usability improvements to the game.
The update provides five autosave slots instead of the previous three.
Using DirectX 11 on the game will lead to additional issues because the game does not support this version. Q4: What should players do if they encounter startup crashes after the update? Players need to update their drivers simultaneously. They can verify game files or contact support staff for additional help.
