Gamers, grab your polymer injections and brace yourselves—Atomic Heart is diving deep with its upcoming DLC, Enchantment Under the Sea! The game developer Mundfish revealed details about Atomic Heart's upcoming third DLC release, which will bring Nastya to the game universe. After its launch in February 2023, Atomic Heart got mixed user feedback while presenting a first-person shooter experience placed in an alternate-world Russian wasteland. Many supporters have looked forward to the scheduled four DLC selections, even though two of them have been available so far.
The first expansion, Annihilation Instinct, took players into the aftermath of the game's main story, focusing on NORA, the AI responsible for managing protagonist P-3’s inventory and weapon upgrades. The second DLC transported players back into Limbo, a surreal realm created from the fused subconscious of P-3 and his late wife, Ekaterina.
Shifting away from Trapped in Limbo, Atomic Heart’s third DLC, Enchantment Under the Sea, is set to launch on January 28, 2025. Teased by Mundfish for months, the expansion has already been showcased through screenshots, a gameplay trailer, and a new atomic heart character reveal. Nastya, a bespectacled redhead, appears to be a survivor well-adapted to the chaos of the Atomic Heart universe.
P-3 remains the protagonist, as confirmed by narration in the trailer. Fan-favorite Granny Zinaida Muravyova also makes a return. Additionally, P-3 receives a new glove, replacing Charles, with two abilities: Blaze, which launches explosive fireballs, and Whip, a grappling hook that doubles as a weapon. Players who own the season pass will gain access to two new weapons—the Thunderclap, an electrified hammer, and the KM-4 Kuzmich, a double-barrel shotgun with a customizable spread.
The DLC will also introduce new enemies, including coral mutants and a formidable boss known as the MOR-4Y. As the name suggests, Enchantment Under the Sea will take players deep underwater to the Neptune Research Center while also allowing them to revisit past locations like Chelomey to see how the robot-controlled world has evolved.
