You can get some money from the optional tasks or pickpocketing the Father. This is easier than going for the rosary. Pickpocketing the Father will get you 50 Groschens, enough for you to put it on the dice game for the rosary. The game is purely on luck unless you have your dice, which you will not have access to at this point. It may take a few tries to beat him in the dice game. After getting Kabat’s rosary either from pickpocketing the Father or defeating him in the Dice game, return it to Kabat.

Get to Thomas

After returning the rosary to Kabat, go to the central courtyard of the castle. You will see a couple of guards on the right side praying for the wellbeing of Thomas. Approach the guards and tell them about the rosary, and you will find out it belongs to Capitan Thomas. This will make the guard escort you to the chapel, and you will have won the trust of all the guards at the castle at that point and have full access to the chapel at any point of the quest.
