You're taken to the Bellhart as part of the questline that involves Threadspun Town, but when you arrive for the first time, it isn't exactly the bustling settlement you might expect. No, it rather greets you as the Haunted Bellhart, a spectral remainder of what was, blanketed in an eerie stillness. There are no people in the streets, the bells twisted and broken, ghostly figures suspended in midair as if held by invisible strings.
The only transformer of any kind here is the hornet, and it becomes quickly obvious that saving Bellhart will take a great deal more than just passing by. To free the town from its corruption, you'll need to learn where the town's corruption is coming from, develop new abilities, and endure some of the game's most challenging battles. If you've been searching for a comprehensive Hollow Knight Silksong Bellhart guide, this guide has everything you'll need to retake the town.

The route to Bellhart is not yet accessible until you've beaten Greymoor. Moorwing, the powerful protector of that site, has to be felled first. After he lies down and the dust is settling, move left from his boss's room to discover that the surroundings are altered. The tight tunnels slowly replace themselves with streets covered in broken stone and crushed brass bells. Lanterns dangle off doorframes like artifacts, casting weak light over a deceased town. This is your first glimpse of Silksong's Haunted Bellhart, and for now, it is nearer to a tomb than a settlement. The path ahead from here is west into the distorted forest of bark and roots called Shellwood. There, you can find the vertical lift that leads you toward the first key step towards saving Bellhart.
Shellwood Exploration offers the second set of navigation hindrances in the game. On the top route, a bench is available, and resting here will save a great deal of time later on since it is midway, where it will be possible to go back to both of the two future bosses. Beyond this resting point is an area containing destructible flower platforms. To navigate them requires downward slashes, gingerly dodging between them. The second flower bouquet has you linking dashes with the Drifter's Cloak, your platforming skill brought to new heights. Sister Splinter awaits at the end of this gauntlet.
She is a quick and agile foe that repays rash attacks with sharp counterattacks. She attacks with lunges that can easily catch you off guard if you become too hasty. By waiting for her to overextend and striking when her sword gets lodged in the ground, you can tire her out. When she does finally fall, you'll gain the Cling Grip, an amazing asset that allows Hornet to cling to walls, drop down, and ricochet back up precisely. With the Cling Grip, the more subtle secrets of Bellhart begin to reveal themselves.
Return once more to the high wall of Shellwood, which you could not get over before. Ascend its face using Cling Grip and break into the room above by force. Inside, shattered bells obstruct the path. Break through them and penetrate the core of Bellhart's corruption. Enemies here are bell-headed beasts, their helmets distorted into weaponry. Small ones charge, ricocheting wildly before jumping with force enough to stun you. Large guardians adhere to walls, sliding in repetitive patterns up and down, only briefly exposing their weak underside. Patience is the virtue: attack when their undersides are exposed and fall back before momentum overwhelms you. Bells also drop from the ceiling, penalizing impulsive players who charge ahead. Somewhere within these rooms, you can also free a flea stuck in a corner, part of another side quest that rewards discovery. To move on, head down through the lower corridor and press forward into the darkness.

The tunnels narrow as you descend, and there are ringing bells that swing in big arcs along each side. By using Cling Grip, you can crawl down the walls, waiting for openings in their cycles to arrive. Some tunnels reward you with little caches of rosaries, a precious item, and some loop back up to the rest bench above, providing thankful shortcuts. Breaking this conduit makes following attempts at the next boss much, much easier. Descending further, you're in a cave with silky filaments all over. This is the entrance to Widow, the second major Hollow Knight Silksong Bellhart boss that you will have to fight.
Widow is a cold-blooded enemy, one who symbolizes the tormented stage of Bellhart. Her arena
is full of webs that obstruct your mobility and reduce the range of your dashes. She varies
between close-in leg swings and wide sweeps in a web, keeping you guessing the whole time.
She'll hold you to a wall for a moment, then turn aside and cover the arena with sticky strands.
This fight would be near impossible to fight without the Cling Grip, as it allows you to hold onto
walls and swing to safety.
Success is only achieved by learning her rhythm. She does have a set-up attack, two slashes,
and a jump or a large ground sweep that leaves her momentarily open. Take advantage of those
openings to strike and retreat before she can resume. When she finally dies, Hornet gains the
Needolin, a new art that slices through silk and gives the ability to cut through the curse that
plagues Bellhart.

Now with the Needolin, return to Bellhart's central square. The town is surrounded by a network of dreams, deep below the rooftops. Using your new power with the agility of Cling Grip and Drifter's Cloak, you can cut through the smooth barrier and ascend. At the top, a gigantic cocooned gate lies in wait. Pounding it with Needolin unleashes a cascade of threads unspooling, breaking the curse of the town with dramatic flair.
There is also a cutscene of Hornet waking up in front of the liberated heart of the settlement. Last but not least, Bellhart is resurrected as an operational hub with characters and shops. New NPCs show up, each of whom has his or her own history and offers services. Among the most important is Pinmaster Plinney, through whom Hornet can advance her needle, pushing its power further for impending challenges. From this point on, Bellhart is no longer a haunted ruin; it's one of Silksong's most vibrant towns, a satisfaction for your hardihood and survival. With its curse broken, the way forward into new parts of Pharloom is open.
