All Warlock Subclasses in Baldurs Gate 3
Players can select from various classes in Baldur's Gate 3, each with unique skills and powers to help them in battle while exploring the environment. The Warlock Class is a unique arcane caster that gains its strength by dealing with a strong and enigmatic patron.
Players can choose a subclass at character creation, level 2, or level 3, depending on the class to further customize their character in Baldur's Gate 3. Warlocks select their subclass when creating their characters because their subclass reveals the type of being they have a deal with in exchange for their power. Whether they be Fiends, Archfeys, or the Great Old One, their abilities come from evil beings with hidden agendas.

Get Started
Fiend Warlocks allied with a corrupting and destructive force, and they frequently used their actions, whether deliberate or not, to further those goals. When a Fiend Warlock reduces an enemy to zero HP, they instantly gain a power known as "Dark One's Blessing." This grants them HP equal to their level plus their Charisma modifier. This also increases the Fiend's resilience and keeps their health topped off. Players can upgrade to various levels, unlocking new spells and skills as they improve.
- Level 1: players unlock incredible spells such as "Burning Hands" and "Command (Halt)". This unique spell is only available to players with fiend warlock. Players can start fires and freeze foes in their tracks with this spell. "Scorching Ray" and "Blindness" are unlocked once players reach level three. This provides players with increased offense and debugging capabilities.
- Level 5: Players unlock the ability to use "Fireball" and "Stinking Cloud" spells. This has a high damage level to enemies. It creates a cloud of gas, which is harmful to enemies upon contact.
- Level 6: Players can unlock “Dark One Own Luck” at this level. This ability gains players an added 1d10 to any pre-acquired abilities briefly after a short rest.
- Level 7: At this level, players are likened to be masters of fire. This results from the ability to create "Fire Shield" and "Wall of Fire" with a spell. This level helps boost the defensive capability of players as the fire shield/ wall is hard to penetrate. Players can also create hazardous obstacles to block the paths of their foes.
- Level 9: Players can now conjure a spell for cold, "Cone of Cold," and attack with flames using "Flame Strike". These spells boast their damage capabilities greatly, giving them powerful cold and radiant options.
- Level 10: This is where the magic happens; players unlock the "Fiendish Resilience” spell. With this spell activated, they can choose any damage type to be impervious. This can be changed once per short rest for even more versatility.
The Great Old One
The Great Old One is one of the Subclasses of Warlock. These Warlocks are acolytes of eldritch entities that are incomprehensible to regular mortals. They are given the ability to channel magic through a pact with eldritch beings in the Far Realms. These warlocks have inscrutable goals and alien looks. They are fierce as they are believed to be able to control the fabric of reality itself. Players can boast their attributes and unlock new skills by leveling up.
- Level 1: Players unlock the powers of "Dissonant Whispers" and "Tasha's Hideous Laughter". Players can inflict psychic damage on their foes with this first-level spell, while the other will leave his foes laughing helplessly like someone who inhales laughing gas. Though this is the first level, players can unlock another spell called "Mortal Reminder”. This spell allows players to weaken a group of enemies upon activation. This spell is not that awesome, as it triggers only on critical hits.
- Level 3: This is where the alien-like powers surface. Players do not need to rely on “Mind Flayer Tadpole” to read minds at this level. They are granted the spells "Detect Thoughts" and "Phantasmal Force". These spells can be used to inflict psychic damage.
- Level 5, they can get "Bestow Curse" and "Slow," which offer a massive range of debuff options for dealing with solid foes.
- Level 6: "Entropic Ward”, is obtained. With this ward, one can disadvantage an incoming attack as a reaction. A missed fire gives players another chance on the next attack against Sam's enemy. This comes with a lot of strain and, as such, can be used once per short rest.
- Level 7: players unlock "Dominate Beast" and "Evard's Black Tentacles”. This spell allows them to turn enemy animals to their side and brutally restrain their foes with conjured tendrils.
- Level 9: "Dominate Person" and "Telekinesis” are unlocked. This allows them to manipulate humanoids and throw people and objects at will.
- Level 10: "Thought Shield: Psychic Resistance" and "Thought Shield: Psychic Reflection” are successfully unlocked. With this, they are granted the ability to resist psychic damage and automatically reverse psychic damage back to any psychic damage they do take from their attacker.
The Archfey
Archfey made their pact with a powerful Fey. They draw on the capricious and whimsical powers of the Feywild. These powers make them a master of the subconsciousness of their enemies. Players are allowed to upgrade their warlock as far as level 10. Players who successfully get to level ten are quite the foe to contend with.
- Level 1: Players are merely given the power "Fey Presence". This allows them to frighten or charm all creatures in a 3m range as an action. They also unlock the spells "Faerie Fire" and "Sleep”. This allows them to outline targets or put them to sleep.
- Level 3: Things begin to spice up as they can choose from "Phantasmal Force" and "Calm Emotions”. This gives them and their allies immunity from being charmed.
- Level 5: Two major spells are unlocked: "Plant Growth" and "Blink”. This spell allows them to create rugged terrain and flicker out of reality.
- Level 6: The ability to turn invisible is gained. It is activated after taking damage once per short rest. Once invisible, they can choose to cast Misty Step on their next turn, though doing so breaks the invisibility effect.
- Level 7: "Dominate Beast" and "Greater Invisibility" are fully unlocked. This enables them to turn animals to their side and render a target invisible for ten rounds whether they attack or not.
- Level 9: "Dominate Person" and "Seeming" are unlocked. This lets them manipulate humanoids and also disguise all four party members simultaneously.
- Level 10: Players who successfully unlock the level gain "Beguiling Defenses" and become immune to charm.
