Have you ever wondered about how to build your new character in Avowed successfully? It’s not always easy to plan your new character build; however, this can potentially have significant impacts on your game. Given this thought, knowing about the best characteristics for each build is crucial, and today, we’re exploring the key traits of the best fighter build in Avowed to help.
There are several key traits of an effective Avowed character build, and keeping these in mind could help you plan your new character. Notably, you’ll need to very carefully plan your character to ensure that they’re strong enough to tackle the challenges ahead - and here are several simple tips to help with this. Notably, a strong fighter character in Avowed will usually need to focus primarily on might and resolve, with a strong emphasis also on dexterity. Thereafter, traits such as constitution, perception, and intellect are somewhat less important for fighter builds, and these may come down to personal preferences moreso.
However, before you spend hours planning out your new character, make sure you first learn how to make Avowed server, as this can allow you to set up your game privately for 24/7 uptime and a lag-free gaming experience. After all, fighter characters are often melee, and fighting in melee requires careful timing to land hits and dodge attacks. So, don’t take the risk of building a strong fighter character on a server that’s likely to lag; start with a premium server instead.
As we’ve briefly mentioned already, there are several important stats for fighter characters, with might and resolve being two of the most crucial. Indeed, these stats increase your weapon damage and stamina, respectively, and it’s pretty easy to see why this is so crucial as a melee build. As such, investing 3 points into each of these traits will generally work well.
Next up is dexterity, another important skill for fighter characters since it influences your attack and movement speed. Once again, the value of this is easy to understand for a melee build, where you’ll inevitably need to get close to your target and strike them quickly; as such, allocating a couple of points to dexterity won’t go amiss.
With these three main traits covered, you’ll still have a couple of points to allocate between constitution, intellect, and perception. Intellect is likely the most disposable of these stats, so you’ll potentially want to add one point each to constitution and perception. Otherwise, you could allocate both to one of the two stats. In the end, there’s no exact right choice here since constitution impacts survivability while perception impacts critical hits and is widely used for speech checks. In the end, pick whichever option feels more useful for your playstyle.
Don’t forget, of course, that you can always level up your base attributes throughout the course of the game. So, while these are excellent starting stats, you may want to focus on improving them and getting a more even split of points during the game. Most fighter class characters will still keep their dexterity and resolve higher than their other stats, though.
By now, you’ve hopefully got a basic idea in mind for which attributes to take for your character. However, this is only part of building the perfect character, and keeping abilities in mind could prove useful as well. Of course, one of the very first abilities you’ll likely want to unlock in Avowed is Charge, a Level 1 fighter ability that can stun nearby enemies. Definitely a useful skill. Other excellent early game abilities can include Armored Grace, Toughness, Survivalist, and Barbaric Shout. Don’t forget to consider upgrading your existing abilities as well, and if you focus exclusively on the fighter tree, you may be able to unlock the strongest abilities of them all: Inspiring Triumph (passive) and Clear Out (active) at Level 20.
While backgrounds don’t play much of an active role in the game, mainly allowing you to roleplay and giving your character a little more lore, they are still worth considering as part of your choice. Luckily, there’s one background in Avowed that fits the fighter build better than most: the War Hero build. However, if you’re planning a fighter-wizard hybrid character (not as uncommon as you might expect), Noble Scion can also be a good option, especially for its hilarious roleplaying opportunities.
Generally speaking, dexterity and resolve will be the most important attributes for a fighter character build in Avowed. Dexterity can also be incredibly helpful, albeit to a somewhat lesser degree.
Depending on your preferences for weapon type, either the Last Light of Day sword or the Drawn in Winter Axe will be among the best early-game unique weapons to add to your arsenal.
The fighter class can offer plenty of excellent benefits, and as such, if you’re a lover of melee combat, you may well want to consider this for your own game. However, it’s important to keep in mind here that creating an effective fighter build in Avowed isn’t as simple as focusing exclusively on your might and resolve. Following this thought, be sure to keep today’s tips in mind to create your new character successfully. Luckily, if you really need to, you can potentially respect your character down the line, although this is far from ideal.
