Wavey Capes

Wavey Capes - Minecraft Mod

WaveyCapes - Animated Cape Mod for Minecraft

WaveyCapes is a simple client-side mod that animates the cape by adding some physics of fluid motion, along with Wind++ to it. It replaces the rendering of your cape as one stiff part with dynamic bending in order to make this look natural: wave through like those worn by wizards. The current functionality is to configure an in-game style of rendering: behavior and wind through the WaveyCapes configuration screen if you have Mod Menu installed through the Fabric API.

Key Features:

  • Dynamic Cape Animation: The capes are animated fluidly and do not just appear as static slabs. The mod adds bending physics and makes the cape respond to in-game wind effects.
  • Customization: The mod adds an in-game configuration screen where one can modify the cape's behavior and rendering styles, and wind effects. Thus, the player has complete control over how their cape behaves or moves.
  • Purely Visual, Client-Side: Since it's purely a visual modification, it doesn't affect gameplay mechanics or need to be installed on the server side. Works in SP and on any server w/o it being installed server-side.
  • Popular Mod Compatibility: Such as Sodium, Optifine, and Iris, which further help with better performance and looks, MinecraftCapes and other cape systems- Kappa, Fabric Capes.
