Distant Horizons

Distant Horizons is a Minecraft mod that adds simplified terrain past Minecraft's default view distance, with performance in mind to allow longer draw distances. This mod will enhance the visuals to give highly detailed Level of Detail.

Features:

  • Extended View Distance: A mod that adds simplified terrain beyond the default Minecraft render distance, allowing you to see much further with little performance hit.
  • Performance Improvement: Optimizes game performance by reducing the load on your device while maintaining visual depth.
  • Multiplayer Support: Works in multiplayer, LOD chunks save between sessions.
  • Shader Compatibility: Partial compatibility with some shaders, like Optifine and Iris, on specific versions.
  • Player-Created Structures: Allows the rendering of player-created structures further than the default view distance.
