Through our Control Panel you can create your own Minecraft launcher.
We provide cheap Minecraft Server Hosting services. Through our Control Panel you can set up an unlimited number of game servers with an unlimited number of slots on one VPS server.
We offer VPS servers with a restricted amount of resources: memory, CPU, disk space. Servers seamlessly support a large number of players, as long as there is enough RAM and CPU power.
Plan descriptions only give an approximate number of players the server can accommodate. In reality, this number can be more or less, depending on the plugins and mods installed on your server.
Here’s what makes ScalaCube the best Minecraft server hosting provider around:
ScalaCube doesn’t limit player slots. Instead, we let our clients choose the number of players they want based on their server hardware. If a high number of players causes their server to lag, they can instantly upgrade RAM at any time.
We host our Minecraft servers with Linux Ubuntu 18.04, providing unparalleled stability and customizability. Our clients can edit all server files with FTP, including plugins, mods, world settings, and more with full control.
Our Minecraft server hosting control panel gives you access to a full LAMP stack, including Apache, MySQL, and PHP, as well as an FTP server and RCON. You can also manage content and applications using PHPMyAdmin.
ScalaCube is the most complete modded Minecraft server hosting on the market. We offer Paper, Sponge, Spigot, and Bukkit, plus popular modpacks, like SkyFactor, StoneBlock, and many others—all with one-click installation.
And if that’s not enough, we also offer full Forge support so you can create your own modpacks easily.
Trolls, hackers, and other bad actors have no chance of hurting your ScalaCube server with a DDoS attack. We actively monitor each threat—even small ones—and instantly take steps to counter any attacks.
Our customer support team is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We promise to always be available to our clients with attentive and knowledgeable support.
Nothing kills gaming fun like bad internet latency. But that’s not an issue for ScalaCube clients — our servers are located all over the world. This means no matter where you are, fast lag-free gameplay is within reach.
Most providers charge for subdomains, but ScalaCube issues them for free. Ditch the long, random IP and give your friends a custom address to find you with.
Losing a world you've spent months (if not years) building is every Minecrafter's worst nightmare. But with our automated backups, it’s nothing someone renting Minecraft servers from ScalaCube needs to worry about.
Our servers around the world provide the lowest ping for your players.
You can only install plugins on a Minecraft server that has Spigot or Bikkit. First, download the .JAR file for the plugin. Upload the .JAR file using file manager in the control panel to the plugins folder. Now reboot your Minecraft server. The plugin should be activated. You can check to see if the new plugin is working by using the command plugins at a command prompt. This will list all installed plugins.
You can only install mods on a Forge enabled Minecraft server. First, download the .JAR file for the mod that you want to install. Upload the .JAR file using file manager in the control panel to the mods folder, ensuring that the .JAR file is in the root of the folder. Now reboot your Minecraft server. The mod should be activated and available to use in either a new or a reloaded saved Minecraft game.
First, stop your Minecraft game server. Download or get the world files ready that you want to add. You may now use either an FTP client to transfer the files, by connecting the yoursubdomain.ourdomain.com and using your user and password. Or you can use the file manager in the control panel to do the upload, which is the simpler option. You will need to place the files into the directory named world.
When you first set up your Minecraft server, your user for the game, not for the hosting control panel, will need to be added to the game server as an admin. You can do this very easily via the control panel. All you need to do is click game server and the become admin. Be careful not to add the wrong username to the admin list and clean up admin users who no longer play your server from time to time.
Firstly, stop your Minecraft server. Now log in to your control panel, and look under the main game server options for wipe map/players. Then just click confirm. Next. Go back to the main game server options and look for settings, and the server properties. Local level-seed and change it. You can provide your own seed, or you can leave it blank and a random value will be generated and used.
Firstly, stop your Minecraft server. Log in to the control panel and under the game server options, you will find the wipe map/players page, select this and click confirm. Next, go back to game server and find the server properties page, and then change level-type. The options here are default, flat (no features), largebiomes (default but with bigger biomes), amplified (increased height limit) and buffet (same as default).
Firstly, stop your Minecraft server. Log in to the control panel and under the game server options, you will find the server properties page. Now change the difficulty value. There are only four possible settings for the difficulty of a Minecraft server as standard. These are peaceful, easy, normal and hard. Modpacks or mods may add additional difficulty levels. Finally, restart our Minecraft server and the new difficulty level you have set will be applied.
Log in to the control panel and look for the game server settings, and then the console page. You can then use the whitelist commands: whitelist on (enables whitelist), whitelist add username (whitelist a user), whitelist list (show whitelist), whitelist remove username (remove a user from whitelist), whitelist reload (reinitialises the whitelist), whitelist off (turns off the whitelist). Once you have made all the changes you need to you can then restart your server.
Firstly, stop your game server. You may now use either an FTP client to connect to yoursubdomain.ourdomain.com and using your user and password. Or you can use the file manager in the control panel, which is the simpler option. Now, look for the folder named world/playerdata. Encode the username into a UUID using an online tool for this. Then delete the file that matches the UUID you encoded. Then restart your Minecraft server.
If you want to wipe your Minecraft server, make sure that you have saved or backed up anything you may want to keep or restore at some stage. Now, stop your Minecraft server. Log in to the control panel and look under the game server settings for the wipe map/players page, and then click confirm to do this. Your Minecraft server has now been completely wiped. You can now restart your server as a completely fresh game.

Bad latency ruins Minecraft by delaying each action you take into the server. This lag turns the fun experience of Minecraft into a frustrating and slow chore. That’s why we made fast server speeds a priority when building ScalaCube. We want to be famous for lightning-fast performance, something we’ve fulfilled with our global network of dedicated servers.
Of course, latency is often caused by the player's local internet connection or the hardware they are using. Minecraft is quite lightweight in its hardware requirements, and ping times should not be affected by CPU bottlenecks. If your PC or laptop seems to be causing high latency to your Minecraft server, our customer service team might be able to give you some help and advice on how to solve this problem.
We are experienced in provisioning Minecraft servers of all sizes. We can provide you with a fairly small server now, then scale it up as your needs expand. Every Minecraft server, no matter the size, benefits from being on our robust, high-performance data backbone. We have used a modified control panel, which has advanced functionality yet is very user-friendly. From this control panel, you can access the “Server Configuration,” “Perform Maintenance,” and “Server Administration” functions. All of this happens in your web browser, with plenty of online help and tutorials to get you started.
Overall, each of the Minecraft servers we provide has been set up and optimized to run Minecraft smoothly, at low latency, with no lag spikes. However, as the number of players using your server grows, you may need to upgrade your server to provide additional hardware resources. Once again, our customer service team can give you advice about this.
