There’s a lot to see and do in Stardew Valley, so much so that it can often be surprisingly deceptive. In line with this thought, it could absolutely take a good number of games before you progress far enough to unlock the Volcano Dungeon and the related Ginger Island Volcano shop in Stardew. Luckily, today’s guide has covered everything you might need to know about the Volcano in Stardew; hopefully, this will help you decide whether it has the stock you need.
Ginger Island Volcano Shop Guide
If you’ve recently heard about the new addition of the Volcano Dungeon to Stardew Valley, you’ll likely be wanting to uncover its new secrets. Fortunately, in today’s Stardew Valley Ginger Island Volcano shop guide, we’ve covered some of the main things you should know about the shop as follows.
Where is the Volcano Shop Located in Stardew Valley?
Before we look any further, you’ll likely first be wondering where the Volcano Shop is located in Stardew Valley. Well, while that sounds like an edgy name, it’s actually quite literal; the Volcano Shop in Stardew is actually located in the heart of the Ginger Island Volcano. More specifically, the Volcano Shop can be found on Level 5 of the Ginger Island Volcano dungeon, putting it at the half-way point of your climb.
How do I Get to the Volcano Shop in Stardew Valley?
In order to get to the Volcano Shop in Stardew Valley, there are several steps you’ll first need to complete. Of course, finding the Volcano Shop is relatively straightforward once you’ve gotten to the Volcano Dungeon; simply fight your way up five floors, and you’ll find the shop located on the fifth floor. However, this is, of course, a lot easier said than done.
Getting to the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island
Before you can even access the Volcano Dungeon, you’ll first need to have unlocked Ginger Island. From this point, once you arrive at Ginger Island, talk to Leo (who can be found on the East side of the island). This will open up the route to the North of the island, which is where the Volcano can be found.
Accessing the Volcano Dungeon
To access the Volcano Dungeon in Stardew Valley, you’ll need to find the large cave located to the south of the Volcano. This cave will allow you to enter the first section of the dungeon: a large river of lava. This lava river prevents access to the dungeon itself, however, you can cross over by using your watering can to water the lave and transform it to passable rock. Of course, this is very different to the real life reaction between water and molten magma, where the rapid heating of water can often be explosive.
That’s definitely good for our exploration sakes, though.
Once you have watered the lava, passing over it should become a whole lot easier! This solidifies the lava into a safe, passable rock path. Keep in mind that if you have a basic watering can, you’ll only be watering one or two tiles at a time; an upgraded (steel or higher) watering can is powerful enough to build a bridge across all of the lava, making this a practical option to consider.
Of course, it doesn’t matter how safe your lava bridge might be if your Stardew server itself isn’t up to the task. As such, if you’re planning to tackle the Volcano Dungeon, making sure your server is stable - such as starting a game with a premium ScalaCube Stardew Valley server - could prove valuable.
Completing Levels 1-5
At this point, you’re hopefully in the dungeon itself! All you’ll now need to do is complete the first five levels of the dungeon. Bear in mind that there are no instant exit ladders in the volcano, so your only option to progress is to find the door on each floor. You’ll also encounter a large number of monsters during your exploration, so make sure you’ve stocked up accordingly - at least enough to get you to the half way point.
What Does the Shop in the Volcano Dungeon Sell in Stardew?
Once you’ve got to level five, you’ll be able to access the Volcano Dungeon Shop. The Ginger Island Volcano Shop has a range of different stock that can help you complete your exploration. In addition, you’ll also find a very valuable pool of water here to refill your watering can.
Daily Stock
There are numerous items in stock every day with the Volcano Shop, and this is worth keeping in mind. They are costly, but if you’re starting to struggle in your progress they can be incredibly valuable. These include:

Random Food Items
Alongside the stock we’ve already mentioned, a choice of two food items will also be available every day. These items are selected at random from the full list of available recipes, so there’s no saying what you could get - from a simple salad to a full
pumpkin pie!
Crates
In addition to the pool and shop loot, there are also a number of crates that can be found in the shop location. Breaking two of these has a chance of regular Volcano Dungeon crate loot; however, the third (closest to the dwarf) has a high (80%) chance of dropping a gold-quality magma cap worth 600g.
