In Risk of Rain 2, portals appear randomly in different locations at different times. These glowing-colored ovals allow players to visit special areas at a particular time. For instance, players can transport to the hidden realm, Void Fields, through the Null Portal. We have several portals in Risk of Rain 2 that lead to different destinations in the game. Some of the portals and their destinations in Risk of Rain 2 include;

• Blue Portals (The Bazaar Between Time)
• Gold Portals (Gilded Coast)
• Celestial Portal (A Moment, Fractured)
• Null Portal (Void Fields)

Risk of Rain 2 is a rogue-like shooting game where a player features as a survivor who aims to thrive on an alien planet. The game is similar to the original version and features 3D technology. Players can choose from various characters in the select screen, and you can unlock more survivors by completing several achievements in the game.

The gameplay for Risk of Rain 2 is such that it consists of nine Environments grouped into five stages. Alongside these stages are hidden realms that are linked to these Environments through portals. As mentioned earlier, the Celestial Portal leads to the hidden realm, A Moment, Fractured, where players can unlock the character, Mercenary, and earn Lunar Coins. However, before arriving at this destination, players must spawn a Celestial Portal.

How to Spawn a Celestial Portal

Spawning a Celestial Portal can be tricky for newbies because it consists of several steps and players will need to endure a long run before achieving their aim. However, if you have a laid down plan involving simple steps and acquire all the necessary items then you can complete this process easily. To spawn a Celestial Portal, you can follow these easy steps;

• Loop the game at least once
• After looping, reach the 3rd stage
• Complete the event
• Spawn the Celestial Portal
• Navigate the hidden realm, A Moment, Fractured.

Looping Risk of Rain 2

Before you can reach the Celestial Portal, you have to complete the five stages of Risk of Rain 2. In stage five, before going to the moon, looping occurs when the teleporter event in the Abyssal Depths is achieved. To loop the game in stage five, you must ensure that the Primordial Teleporter aligns to the earth, before activating it. After looping the game takes you back to the first environment, which can be Titanic Plains or Distant Roost.

Things get harder in the game once you've looped your run; the monster's attack spawns at an incredible rate with better items and more elemental abilities. In addition, you face new enemies like the Overloading Worm after starting from stage one, so you need to be better at finishing off monsters. You now need to make it to stage 3 before you can spawn the Celestial Portal.

Reaching the Stage 3 and Completing the Event

As we mentioned earlier, reaching the third stage for the second time will be difficult, but once you manage to complete stage 3, which is the Rallypoint Delta or Scorched Acres, you will see a notification informing you that the Celestial Orb has appeared.

You have to wait for the Teleporter event to be completed before using the Celestial Portal. It is important to note that after the first spawn, anytime you reach the third stage on any Environment, the Celestial Portal will spawn automatically. What this means is that after playing to stage 3 for the second time, which is like playing to the 8th, 13th, 18th, 23rd, or 28th stage, the Celestial Portal spawns automatically.

Navigating the Hidden Realm: A Moment, Fractured

Once you've in the hidden realm, you can proceed to unlock the Mercenary. This character possesses high melee attacking skills with high burst damage. Compared to most characters, the Mercenary is agile and nimble, which makes him less prone to enemy attacks. If you want to unlock the Mercenary character, then you are already on track. Navigate the hidden realm, A Moment, Fractured after passing through the spawned Celestial portal. Find your way through the floating Island to the bottom, where you have the Obelisk.

The Obelisk is not hard to notice because it comprises two huge monolithic-shaped slabs that are over 30 meters high. Unlocking the Mercenary requires you to complete the challenge True Respite and you can complete it by getting obliterated at the Obelisk. Once you arrive at the foot of the Obelisk and interact with it, the game will ask you if you want to obliterate yourself. Agreeing to the proposal gives you five Lunar Coins and brings your run to an end, but you must have succeeded in unlocking the Mercenary character.

After terminating your run, you can start the game from stage one with your new character. This method is also one of the best ways to get Lunar Coins in the game and makes passing the Celestial Portal a must for anyone in the game.
