Equipment is everything you need for exploring and farming resources in Palworld. You unlock these items early in the game, and they are very important for progressing on Palpagos Island.

Why You Need to Repair Items
Most of the items you use in Palworld will have a durability rating that you can check when viewing the item. This is represented by a bar that counts down with use. Once the durability reaches zero, the item won’t break, but it will become less effective until it’s practically useless. You’ll need to repair it to restore its durability.Here’s what reduces equipment durability:
Melee Weapons – Attacking other Pals with melee weapons, except when you miss.
Ranged Weapons – shooting projectiles from ranged weapons also reduces the durability of such weapons whether you hit or miss.
Helmet and Armor – For each hit you receive while using your helmet or armor, the item loses its durability. Failure to repair this item means you will eventually lose it.
Shield – When you take damage with the shield, it loses durability. Although, the shield needs to be up for this to count.
Getting a Repair Bench
Before anything, you need a workstation and a workbench. The workstation is where you carry out all sorts of repairs and you can dedicate an area of your base for that. After that comes the Work Bench.We all know that crafting new items can be tough and waste valuable resources once your gear is broken. Luckily, Palworld lets you repair broken items, making them as good as new. Although repairing isn’t free and does require resources, it costs much less than making a new item.
To repair items in Palworld, you first need to get the Repair Bench. You unlock it after reaching Technology Level 2, which requires 1 Technology Point. Crafting the Repair Bench also needs 10 Wood and 10 Stone.
Once you've gathered the required resources, open your Build menu by pressing B on your keyboard. Navigate to the Production section and select the Repair Bench. Place the bench in your base and build it either by yourself or with help from your Pals.
The main advantage of the Repair Bench is that it uses fewer resources than completely replacing gear. For example, crafting a Cloth Outfit requires 2 cloth, but repairing it from a near-broken state only needs 1 cloth. Plus, it refurbishes equipment much faster than when you first crafted it.
As a rule of thumb, repairing is better than crafting new items when their durability decreases. Make it a habit to regularly refresh your gear whenever you pass by your home base. How to Repair Items in Palworld

To repair structures, you'll need to craft a Repair Kit from your workbench. The Repair Kit becomes available at Technology Level 3 and requires 5 Fiber and 5 Stone to craft.After you have made a Repair Kit and have it at your base, stand in front of the structure you want to repair and press '4' on your keyboard. Each Repair Kit can be used to repair one structure, so you'll need to craft multiple Repair Kits if you want to fix several structures at your base.
