Minecraft Update
The Minecraft Education team has created a special Hour of Code (HoC) map for players to earn a million emeralds by escaping a virtual mansion. Players will need to use computational thinking to solve a series of coding challenges in order to escape the mansion.
The mysteries of Dr. Breakowski's estate will be revealed to you as you go through a series of escape rooms. This map may be played several times, each time yielding a unique coding challenge and set of results. As you make your way around the mysterious mansion, you'll find that each door leads to a brand-new coding test.
HoC: Escape Estate is now available for Education Edition players, and anyone without an Education account can try it out as a demo lesson in 29 languages. This map is designed to help people learn the basics of coding, with three levels of difficulty and the ability to code in blocks or Python. It's also more fun with friends, so feel free to play with family, friends, or classmates.
If you like playing Escape Estate, you can continue learning with over 200 hours of Computer Science curriculum in Minecraft: Education Edition. You can develop your algorithmic thinking and computational skills through exciting gameplay. If you're looking for something fun to do over the week of December 5-11, check out Estate Escape and keep watch for some exciting announcements related to Computer Science!
