Valheim
The Valheim team took a break. They were busy with the Hildir’s Request update. But, they're back now. They're back to doing monthly blog posts. Hildir’s Request is the newest update. It adds a new character to the game, a merchant. This new merchant sells unique clothes. But first, you have to help her. Her quests involve mini-boss fights. The fights happen in different dungeons. Plus, the update lets you change the game. You can make it easier or harder.
At the same time, they're improving Ashlands. They pay attention to the terrain. Their goal is to make it more challenging. From now on, Ashlands will only be next to an Ocean biome. That's not all. They're looking closely at each area's height. They want it to differ from the Plains and Mistlands. Their careful work aims for a thrilling experience. Every visit to Ashlands will be unique.
Lava isn't the only feature in Ashlands. You can also find spots covered in deep ash layers. You can see this especially near the coastlines. They mark spots of a once lush, green forest. There's more. The developers started a speedrun contest. Fun rewards await the winners. Also, they highlighted some player creations. They ask everyone to share their creations, too. Players should use the hashtag #ValheimBotM. This may lead to their creation becoming a future feature.
