The third Pre-Release for Minecraft 1.20 is out now with some minor changes and bug-fix additions brought in the game. Here are the details related to it:
Minecraft 1.20.3 Pre-Release 3: Bug Fixes and Tweak to Server Resource Packs
In the latest from the Minecraft universe, Mojang has released the third Pre-Release for Minecraft 1.20.3. The main objective of the pre-release is mainly to fix several bugs and bring changes in server resource pack handling.
The local storage now supports up to 20 server resource packs.
This optimization is aimed at improving the caching process for resource packs.
Packet Updates:
Notable attention has been given to packets in this release.
The client is now equipped to send additional updates regarding pack status, such as confirming pack download success.
The development team has been very busy wrapping up numerous bug fixes for this release. Some standout changes include fixing some issues with the redirection of pool aliases, correcting a few strings that were typoed, and dealing with some inconsistencies with Copper Door's block drops and item tags.
Here's the comprehensive list of bug fixes:
- MC-265908: Pool aliases now correctly redirect the start pool.
- MC-266060: Corrected a spelling error in the "commands.tick.query.rate.sprinting" string.
- MC-266115: Fixed inconsistent Copper Door block drops when broken with tools weaker than stone.
- MC-266144: Copper Doors are now correctly included in the #doors item tag.
- MC-266145: Copper Trapdoors are now correctly included in the #trapdoors item tag.
- MC-266189: Game freezing during pick-up animation no longer desyncs item position.
- MC-266210: Dragon respawn can now be frozen with /tick freeze.
- MC-266335: Copper Doors and Trapdoors now have the correct Blast Resistance.
- MC-266903: Corrected an incorrect part of the copper door texture.
- MC-266920: Server Resource Packs Setting disabled is no longer overridden by require-resource-pack.
- MC-266948: Running "/summon wind_charge" now requires enabling the 1.21 data pack.
How to Get the Pre-Release:
But for the zealous Minecraft fans unable to wait to get a board of the 1.20.3 Pre-Release 3, it is rather simple the process doing so. Basically, just head on over to the Minecraft Launcher, open up the "Installations" tab and toggle snapshots on. Please remember that testing versions may have unforeseen issues so it is advised to either backup your world or run the test version in a separate folder from your main worlds.
That wraps up today's Minecraft Daily News. Happy mining, and may your block-breaking adventures be bug-free!
