Minecraft
Attention, Minecraft fans! Very soon, some major changes are going to be added to the gameplay in both Java and Bedrock Editions. Say hello to Quick Play—it will make your gaming with fewer clicks and quicker access to your previously played worlds from the launcher.
Quick Play Feature Introduction:
Quick Play is an advanced feature of the Minecraft Launcher interface.
Let players get to their most recently played worlds right away, without the hustle of screens and menus.
Quick Play Bar Mechanics:
On the top right of the Minecraft Launcher window, up to five Quick Play slots are located.
These are automatically populated by the oldest played worlds, with older worlds making way for newer ones when all slots are filled.
Pinning worlds makes it possible for players to choose worlds and have them in the Quick Play bar, even with other worlds continually being added to the game.
Compatibility and Settings:
Quick Play comes installed in Java Edition (1.20) and Bedrock Edition (1.20.60).
The feature can be disabled in the launcher's settings for users who prefer the traditional interface.
Data Handling and Security:
Quick Play data is stored locally on the user's machine, ensuring privacy and security.
Disabling Quick Play deletes all related data, while game worlds remain unaffected.
Enabling Quick Play:
Quick Play is enabled by default but can be re-enabled in the settings if previously disabled.
Supported Versions:
Quick Play is supported in Minecraft: Java Edition 1.20 and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.20.60 or later versions.
Quick Play Bar Functionality:
Displays the five most recently played worlds.
World positions can change based on the order of play, with newer worlds bumping older ones down.
Types of Worlds Supported:
Single-player worlds, server-hosted worlds, and Realms-hosted worlds can be joined via Quick Play.
Adding and Removing Worlds:
Worlds are added to Quick Play automatically upon play.
Pinning worlds prevents them from being replaced, and playing enough other worlds removes unwanted ones.
Customization Options:
A world within the Quick Play bar can be given a custom icon through the use of different block art provided within the Minecraft Launcher.
Data Collection and Disabling:
Quick Play does not include any collection of data done by Mojang Studios and Microsoft.
Disabling Quick Play only removes feature-related data, leaving game worlds unaffected.
To sum up, the Quick Play feature promises more convenience and efficiency for Minecrafters to move on to and spend more time within their beloved virtual realms. Quick Play answers the most general user questions and the transition is easy for every specific kind of player.
Project Zomboid
Greetings, survival fans, and enthusiasts! Welcome back to yet another mod spotlight.
And what's going to be under the spotlight today is "Over the River," a map that introduces a new town over the Ohio River and gives an interesting challenge to the intrepid survivor. Let's go ahead and get into the details and insights shared by Woldren in this mod spotlight.
Over the River Map:
Created by Woldren, Over the River is a map one of the most popular on the Steam Workshop with almost 800,000 subscribers.
The map places a new town across the Ohio River linked by a bridge littered with Fallout-style improvised metal shacks.
Challenging Gameplay Elements:
The bridge is tough because it contains remnants of metal shacks and hordes of ex-survivors, who need fighting through to reach the other side.
A beached cargo ship waiting at the end of the bridge adds a fanciful challenge where the players must wriggle through its rusting innards to reach the dry land.
Diverse Locations in the New Town:
The new town provides a military base with a hospital and underground bunker, a survivor settlement in a soccer stadium, a logging factory, and many houses and buildings to explore.
Where some of the exact landmarks include Walter White's house in Breaking Bad, the street leading to Grove Street from GTA: San Andreas, and finally a military base with several hangers and buildings.
