- Minecraft 1.21 Pre-Release 4
Minecraft
The latest Java version of Minecraft, version 1.21 Pre-Release 4, has been released, that brings along various changes and fixed bugs.
This update is focused on strengthening the effects of enchantments, among other things, along with fixing a few side issues of gameplay.
A point that was also a focus of this update is the enhancement of the effects of enchantments and some related bugs that brought their issues into the gameplay.
Fire Protection Enchantment
The "Burning Time" reduction effect now stacks with multiple pieces of enchanted armour.
Blast Protection Enchantment
The effect of "Knockback Resistance" now stacks with multiple pieces of enchanted armor.
Completeness of Armor Set Requirement
To gain the full effects of these, a complete set of enchanted armour must be worn. A complete set worn together has the same effect as version 1.20.6.
Reduced Effect for Single Piece
When wearing one piece of this enchanted armour, you'll get even a reduced effect compared to earlier versions.
Nether Portal Interaction
Primed TNT: After passing through a Nether Portal, Primed TNT will no longer be able to destroy Nether Portal blocks.
Fixed Bugs
The prevention of fall damage from wind charges did not persist after the reload.
Wind charges would sometimes not prevent damage from falls.
The loss of burning time due to fire protection is now correctly stacked for all armour pieces.
As a result, blast protection from all of the pieces of armour now stacks correctly about knockback resistance.
Players suffer from fall damage after using the wind charge on the boat clutch.
The Wind Burst ability damages the player twice despite using a single use with Wind Charges.
Damage was not cancelled properly when a wind charge was used to prevent fall damage after a wind burst.
Mace enchantment can apply sharpness inadequately
This pre-release focuses on ensuring the smoothness of the game mechanics by chasing away common bugs likely to affect the player.
The game is stabilised and made enjoyable in this release. Since the effects of overlapping enchantments along the line are now refined, and some severe bugs have been ironed out, Minecraft has again been evolving in the direction of providing the best environment for players in immersed gaming.
