Minecraft Snapshot
Minecraft Snapshot comes with a lot of bug fixes, various technical enhancements, and some new features. This snapshot adds support for custom equipment models and further refines the interaction with Bundles. It also includes several known bug fixes and a few key experimental and technical changes that make it a pretty notable update for both players and developers.
New Features & Tweaks
Custom Equipment Supports: Data packs and resource packs are now able to configure the models of equipment.
Bundle Improvement: When activating a bundle from the hotbar, only one stack of each set item is consumed at a time instead of the entire quantity.
Squid Spawn Tweaks - Squid Spawn Eggs will now spawn only adult squids. When spawning in groups, there is a 5% chance that this group will spawn baby squids.
Experimental Features
Bundles have been updated to allow selective item emptying from the hotbar.
Technical Changes
Data Pack Version: Updated to version 52.
Resource Pack Version: Now updated to version 37.
New item components, such as "equippable" and "item_model," control how items can be equipped and displayed.
Custom equipment models can be defined, allowing players and mobs to wear uniquely designed armor and other gear.
Bug Fixes
Over 40 bugs have been fixed, addressing issues like:
Incorrect teleportation with Ender Pearls.
Horse armor enchantment glint not displaying.
Bugs with mob conversion where health and armor attributes were not retained.
Visual glitches with translucent blocks and player motion while riding entities.
Issues with item duplication and crafting inconsistencies.
These updates bring even more refinement into gameplay mechanics, especially for players who enjoy customizing their Minecraft experience with Data Packs and Resource Packs, and fix many bugs to make the game smoother and more stable.
