The new Valheim update set to drop later this year has been making headline news. Considering how popular this survival sandbox game has become over the years, Valheim patches have been able to gather hundreds of thousands of players across different platforms.
Initially launching in Early Access on PC on Feb 2, 2021, Valheim has explored different biomes, dungeons, plants, accessories, and other items. In a post on the development blog, the popular franchise behind this sandbox survival game, Iron Gates AB, disclosed that the devs are working on including new weapons, characters, dungeons, and other items in the Deep North Content set to launch later in 2025.
The franchise has also launched a scenic trailer featuring its original star, Deep North Hervor Bloodtooth. Even though fans haven't learned much about this character, the company has decided that the introduction of Hervor Bloodtooth will be the dawn of a new beginning for subsequent patches. Iron Gates's last big content, Valheim Ashlands, launched in 2025, and it was smoothly delivered. Fans are hopeful the Deep North Content will be a blast.
The last Valheim big content update featured over 30 new weapons, three sets of armor, and a new inventory filled with crafting items.
