For those of us still grinding the best diablo game, Diablo 2 Resurrected or longing for the eerie, slow-paced magic of Classic Diablo game, the wait for something truly reminiscent may finally be over. Enter Tower of Kalemonvo, a new indie ARPG from Eastern European developer Osur that feels like Classic Diablo reborn.
Described as a “hardcore isometric ARPG with randomly generated levels,” Tower of Kalemonvo draws heavy inspiration from Diablo 1 and Throne of Darkness. Players will navigate procedurally generated dungeons, battling everything from floating skulls to sinister cultists, all while hunting for that oh-so-satisfying loot. The game’s visuals are a love letter to Diablo game. The lighting is spot-on, with dark, decrepit dungeons illuminated only by your character’s flickering glow and the ominous flashes of enemy spells. It’s simple, moody, and irresistibly nostalgic.
Still in development, Tower of Kalemonvo is slated for release in Q1 2025, with a demo already available for the curious. What sets it apart is its embrace of simplicity—no endless seasons or updates, just a dungeon, some classes, and plenty of loot.
Of course, the ultimate test will be its loot system. Can it match the perfection of Diablo 2’s itemization? Only time will tell, but so far, Tower of Kalemonvo looks like the spiritual successor we’ve been waiting for.
Play Diablo 1 in your browser, with an outstanding framerate and a full save system. The whole game is available by uploading Diablo's MPQ file to the website, or you can get a free demo from the shareware option.
It is like Diablo is so many ways but, there is a lot more depth that allows for great customization and the opportunity to truly construct any persona you want.
Since its release, Diablo 2 made successful sales of 304.422 units sold in the United Sates from 2000 to 2001.
