Recently, there has been a major update in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl designed to improve gameplay.
Compared to the previous patch, this fixes well over 1,800 issues, from enhancing NPC behaviors to fixing bugs and improving performance. NPC navigation and motivation have been greatly refined, which has made the NPCs in the game world dynamic and more real.
Moreover, players will witness mutants like Snorks and psy dogs acting less aggressively, thus generating a well-balanced gameplay. This update also brings a weapon condition indicator, making it easier for you to check the condition of your weapons without checking the inventory every time.
The Stalker 2 developers have also addressed some bugs that caused crashes when loading save files or talking with certain anomalies, owing to the feedback from the community. An extra protection against data loss was the introduction of automatic backup saves, kept up for four days. These updates mark the developers' efforts to work on players' concerns and game stability.
The developers have been responding to the feedback from players, and now they are trying to fix the game stability issues. Despite encountering struggles at launch, STALKER 2 did well commercially, with over a million copies sold and a profit recorded by GSC Game World.
It was released on November 20, 2024.
The game has reached over one million copies sold.
STALKER 2 runs only on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
The game is developed by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World.
