Gamers are something special. Whether it's completing Elden Ring with a dance pad or playing Doom on a fridge, they love to push creative boundaries. But the story we have today will take the cake. Someone played Marvel Rivals on a Nintendo 3DS.
Reddit user by the name of PhxSunsFan shared their bizarre yet brilliant experiment on marvel rivals on the social media application. He posted an image of the hero shooter running on the tiny dual screens of a 3DS. But how did they manage to pull it off? Well, they streamed their Steam Deck to the handheld.
PhxSunsFan admitted that it wasn't an ideal experience, adding that the firing range wasn't too bad but the lag made the gameplay challenging. The Reddit user went on to say that it was funny to see on the 3DS.
Surprisingly, the button mapping worked almost perfectly, with only L3 and R3 being relocated to the 3DS’s touchscreen. It might not be a conventional way to climb the meta with marvel rivals characters (though PhxSunsFan did give Rocket a spin), but they show how creative gamers can get when mixing things up.
Who knows what we can expect next? Marvel Rivals on a Tamagotchi? A toaster? Only time will tell.
PhxSunsFan achieved this by streaming the game from a Steam Deck to the 3DS, but the input lag makes it challenging for smooth gameplay.
The buttons aligned almost perfectly with the 3DS layout, except for L3 and R3, which were moved to the handhelds touchscreen.
It is a unique way to play the game. The input lag and small screen make it more of a fun experiment than a practical way to play.
