Sea of Thieves is crossing over with Destiny 2

Sea of Thieves players can now access the Lightbearer collection as Destiny 2 teams up with them, inspired by Bungie's sci-fi universe. The Lightbearer collection brings ship sets along with weapons and costumes that recreate the three classes of Destiny 2; Titan, Hunter, and Warlock. Ship sets for Sea of Thieves implement unique elements to represent three different classes through pieces like the Mighty Lightbearer Figurehead, the Silent Lightbearer Sails and the Wise Lightbearer Hull.
The game provides players with the opportunity to get weapons derived from Destiny's signature equipment pieces. The Lord of Wolves inspires the blunderbuss design alongside the flintlock pistol receiving its appearance from the Ace of Spades. These cosmetic changes represent intricate tributes which specifically cater to players who have been part of the Destiny community. The Drifter costume symbolises the Destiny 2 host known for his moral ambiguity in the collaborative event.
Rare mentioned that the crossover occurred as a result of shared appreciation between the development teams at Sea of Thieves and Destiny. The devs aimed to create an experience that unified rich coop gameplay mechanics from both games for players on either side.
All Lightbearer items from Seafarer Crossover are currently available to buy through the Pirate Emporium. The themed Destiny items in the Pirate Emporium provides a clear reason for Sea of Thieves players to enter the game if they want to sail as Guardians.
